Dear Neighbor,
Two years ago, I promised to work day and night to ensure that you have a strong voice at the State House, to increase resources for youth and families in our neighborhood, to fight for living wage jobs and affordable housing and to be the only elected official in Providence who has a neighborhood office year round so that you have a place to have your questions and concerns answered about state government. I am proud to say I have kept my promise.
Yet, we have so much more work to do. Foreclosures are ruining families and depressing property values; our public schools need to be stronger, parents and children are getting kicked-off health care and child care and our property taxes keep rising and rising. For this reason, I am running for re-election to be your State Representative. I want to continue making a difference for you at the State House.
In the last two years, I have fought hard for legislation to:
- Protect homeowners and renters from foreclosure
- Ban utility shut-offs for households with toddlers
- Reform the criminal justice system
- Promote renewable energy, public transit, and affordable housing construction
I need your vote on September 9th in the Democratic Primary, so I may continue to work for change, on behalf of Washington Park, Elmwood, the West End and all of Rhode Island.
Sincerely,
Rep. Grace Diaz
P.S. I look forward to meeting you as I go door to door in our neighborhood. But, if you'd like to talk before that, you can reach me on my cell phone at 575-3641 via email at repgracediaz@gmail.com.
